niwaki herbaceous sickle

Traditionally used in Japan for hand-harvesting rice, but Niwaki trialled and tested it for herbaceous plants and grasses and realised it works perfectly. A nice sharp serrated blade copes with tough, dry stalks. To use just grab a handful of stalks and cut with a single, strong sawing action.
Made from strong carbon steel with a wooden Poplar handle, includes a canal blade sheath with a hanging hole for storage.
Dimensions: Length 32cm x 2.3xm x 2.9cm (including 16cm blade).
